Adverse conditions are expected to affect the Island
from: 22/1000 until: 23/1500

Heavy rain:

Spells of rain will develop overnight, heavy at times tomorrow morning, bringing a risk of localised flooding. The rain will move away mid to late afternoon but return for a time tomorrow evening and night.
Total rainfall 25-30mm with a risk of 40-50mm over the hills.

Coastal overtopping:

Gale force south to southwest winds around the time of high tide Wednesday lunchtime (1:25pm) and again during the early hours of Thursday morning (1:45am) will bring waves and debris onto exposed roads and promenades.
Areas most affected will be Shore Road – Rushen, Castletown Promenade and the Northern part of Douglas Promenade.

Gales:

Fresh south to southwest winds overnight tonight, will quickly increase to gale force Wednesday morning (gusts to 55 mph), easing northerly 10 to 15 mph for a time in the evening, then increasing southwest gale force again overnight into Thursday (gusts 60mph). The wind will slowly ease on Thursday afternoon as it turns westerly.
